About

The goal for My Programmes On Demand (MyPOD) is to increase the use of podcasting, there is such a wealth of useful information and new music/video delivered via podcasting these days that I think there should be better tools available to use the free content available. The Android platform has similar goals of openness and availability to all.

MyPOD is designed to handle lot of feeds, using tagging and search instead of categories. I have tried to add as many features as nessecary to the UI while still avoiding clutter. A lot of work has gone into adding feeds, there are numerous ways to add feeds to your list so that it is a simple and convenient process. MyPOD integrates the browser tightly making it easy to find music on the web and listen to it with a minimum of fuss.

MyPOD isn't for everyone - you will either love it or hate it. It's a big app (2Mb) with a lot of features, If you are looking for something that's basic try Listen, Doggcatcher or BeyondPod. I don't feel bad saying this as you will just leave me bad comments anyway. I am unapologetic for the time it takes to get to know the app, it's my perfect podcast app, and thats the way it will be - but please email me your suggestions - they do get listened to, and implemented, as many users will tell you.

The latest version of MyPOD has a desktop browser based interface - I am looking for feedback on it please mail feedback a.t my-pod.org if you have any.
